How to Set the Default Photo And Download Location to an SD Card

Most of the entry level smartphone have 8GB or 4GB out which only 2-4GB is user usable. This creates a problem for user as he have very less space to download app. As most of the app can't be shifted to SD card so very little space is available for user to use for files and photo.
This issue can be overcome using a SD card but sometime the file and photo are are still save on phone memory.
So here is way to overcome it
Default Location to SD card
This can be done in TWO ways

First method: Apps Data

This will save Apps data directly to the SDcard
  1. Open an app say for example Camera.
  2. Tap on the setting button.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap on option storage and select it to Memory card
  4. Similar method and be use to change setting on other apps.

Second method: Download Data

This will ensure all the data downloaded will go directly to the SD card
  1. Open My File from the app drawer.
  2. Click the capacitive menu button, or look three dot or four horizontal lines menu button in top right corner.
  3. From the displayed menu, tap the Settings option.
  4. In setting under the Select directories, tap the set home directory option or choose Show categories .

  5. Then tap the option you desire and select the desire folder you want to save the data.
  6. And you are done.

Note: I have use a Samsung phone to demonstrate the above process. The UI of My File may be different on phone and tablet but the app will be present in app drawer. In the mobile phones or tablets from other manufacturers, the interface may be different and different app maybe use but the process will remain same. Also make sure that SD card is properly mounted. The same processes can be use to revert back the it.

Now that you now this simple trick go and take lot of videos and photos. Thanks for reading. If facing any problem or have any suggestion leave then in comment below. If you found it helpful Like it, +1 it and do share it with your friends because

Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola explained

Lenovo signed an agreement to acquire Motorola for $2.91 billion from Google, which is selling it at a massive loss after buying Motorola for $12.5 billion less than two years ago. So what does this deal mean for all the three companies involved?

For Google

  • At $12.5 billion Motorola’s acquisition was an expensive mistake for Google. Google had hoped that Motorola’s patents would save it and its Android hardware partners, who were taken to the courts for patent infringement by companies of Nokia, Microsoft and Apple. But, this all end with a blow as most of the patent google acquires were standard patents. Through which google could not save itself.
  • Google at that time was mainly interested in the company's patent portfolio. Now, Google is selling its subsidiary handset business, which has been losing hundreds of millions each quarter since the purchase.
  • Google will hold on to Motorola's R&D department headed by former DARPA Director, Regina Dugan. That department was working on future products including smart tattoos, smart pills and even a modular phone codenamed Ara.
  •  It will also ensure that maor android OEM's don't shift to alternative OS like samsung with windows or Tizen

For Motorola

  • The deal is a mixed bag for Motorola. It would no longer have a "a google company" mark with it. Motorola is most likely to lose all the Googleness under Lenovo.
  • On a positive note, Motorola will finally be able to scale up with Lenovo. The Chinese electronics giant already has a global sales and distribution network. On the smartphone side, it has a thriving business in China, India and Indonesia – some of the largest and fastest growing smartphone markets in the world.
  • Nothing going to change much for motorola as motorola brand will not be discontinued

For Lenovo

  • The company that gains the most in this deal is Lenovo  which at $2.91 billion is a bargain. Even the terms – about $660 million in cash and $750 million in shares at the time of closing the deal and the remaining $1.5 billion spread over three years.
  • Apart from the financial aspect, Lenovo also gets a great engineering team as well as license to Motorola’s patents that Google would retain and 2,000 patents it will receive. It will also get to keep the trademark and copyright for the Motorola brand name.
  • Acquiring Motorola will also give Lenovo access into the US and Latin American markets, where it does not have a strong smartphone presence at the moment. The deal could catapult Lenovo as the third largest smartphone vendor after Samsung and Apple, overtaking Huawei and LG.
  • Its all depend on lenovo how it use Motorola’s relationships with carriers its manufacturing plants and  its patents.

Will You still Buy motorola products after the acquisition ? Let us know what to feel about this deal in comment below?

Google and Samsung Patent Deal(10 Years)

Patent are the most important things for the companies now a days. We can see most of the big companies like Samsung, Apple, HTC, Sony, Microsoft, Google are in some or the other lawsuit with other companies related  the infringement of patents. Companies like apple and Nokia are know to be aggressive when it came to patent lawsuit.

Google is one the companies that have said that we will not fight with patents rather with innovation. It has many steps to prevent patent troll. Due to constant growth of android popularity, many have sued either google or android OMEs(majorly Samsung).

Both componies are under one umberala of android, they dont seen to be threat to each other but this deal is beneficial for both the companies. But it important to note that some of the patents are not cover under this deal. So I fell that Google is most like to preserve some of its Motorola, google[x] lab and android patent on the other side Samsung will like to prevent some of its research and touchwiz patents.

Andvantages for Samsung:

  1. Clearly in the defending lawsuit againts other companies mainly Apple.
  2. Getting most the patents regarding andoid to improve touchwiz

Advantages for Google:

  1. Some of the key hardware patents for its subsidy Motorola.
  2. Adding more feature to stock android that are available on touchwiz.
Will this really help google or samsung?
Let us know what you think about this Deal in comment below. It will be appreciated.
